Dateline: Hamilton, Bermuda, June 28, 2008: Randall Baldwin’s Taylor 42 Cabady from Ridgefield Connecticut, took first place in the Onion Patch Series following the final event, the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club Anniversary Regatta sailed yesterday. Cabady finished second in the New York Yacht Club Regatta, first in the Newport Bermuda Race and ninth in the RBYC Anniversary Regatta for 2, 1.25, 9 and a total of 12.25 points. The Series is scored under IRC ratings.

Newport Rhode Island, June 15: The traditional Swan 68 Chippewa owned by Clayton Deutsch of Newport took the fleet lead in the 2008 Onion Patch following the 154th New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta. Chippewa took the lead with a 7-2 for 9 points in the regatta. There are 34 individual entries competing for the Henry B Du Pont Trophy and 4 three-boat teams sailing for the Onion Patch Trophy.

However, you have not registered for the NYYC Annual Regatta or the RBYC Anniversary Regatta which are the other two regattas that comprise the Onion Patch Series. Registration for both of these regattas is through the NYYC website www.nyyc.org - and registration is completed by navigating the “Yacht Racing” dropdown on the home page and going to the “154th Annual Regatta” page – on the upper right of this page you will find on line entry for both the NNYC and the RBYC regattas.
